Well the gloves have come off and the Carvel Crusaders fighting back with a vengeance. Yesterday's shoutout to the DQ side of life has caused a great debate over which soft serve frozen treat is the best guilty pleasure of
this genre. I like Carvel especially if there's a last minute birthday celebration where a cake is needed PDQ. Their chocolate crunchies are Hall of Fame worthy. As far as frozen supermarket treats, Carvel's Flying Saucers and Chipsters certainly can give Chipwiches a run for their money. But when visiting a custard stand it's just silly to say that ice cream sandwiches are better than 
the Dilly Bar. The Dilly is known for it's decadant chocolate coating and DQ custard. Carvel has no alternative selection. To quote the Reverend Jesse Jackson from the classic SNL game show skit first broadcast in 1984, "The question is moot."
